We're seeing big leaps in the growth of Land to Market verified products in South America in places like Uruguay thanks to progressive supply chain actors and well-equipped Savory Institute accredited hubs.
At Land to Market, we see “field work” as integral to our momentum in building a global supply chain that connects farmers and processors with fashion and food brands. And as a remote team, traveling gives us the opportunity to be deeply collaborative while we are cultivating our global network.
During November 2022 the Land the Market team took a trip to Uruguay, a country that is thriving for Land to Market. Our trip to catalyzed many relationships and gave us tools to work more efficiently with our local partners. We are so grateful to our brand members and supply chain partners who connected with us during our visit. In the global, remote business age, face-to-face meetings are so valuable and meaningful to our team.
We're seeing big leaps in the growth of Land to Market verified products in regions of South America thanks to progressive supply chain actors and well-equipped Savory Institute accredited hubs. Meat and wool suppliers are investing in their supply chains (i.e., farmers and ranchers) and offering a differentiated product while the hubs are training ranchers in holistic management and monitoring the land for regenerative outcomes. This growth in regenerative agriculture and verified supply is positioning South America as a scalable solution for verified meat, hides, and wool for the global market.
Currently Land to Market has 76 farms in its regenerative agriculture program via Savory Institute hub, Pampa Oriental, including more than 145,000 hectares. Much of that growth has been with our member, Las Moras, a beef processor company based in Uruguay as well as a consumer-facing brand that sells their beef both domestically and in international markets, like the USA. While in Montevideo, we partnered with Las Moras to hold a media briefing event to highlight Uruguay and Las Moras' leadership in helping spur the growth of regenerative agriculture in the region. While there, we garnered several editorial placements with local media reaching over 161 million readers/listeners.

Uruguay received its first international verification of regenerative land and Land to Market verified beef products through the leading meat producer, Las Moras, opening the door to new markets. Here are some of Las Moras' Land to Market verified beef products. Las Moras’ new brand, Moras, includes a variety of grass fed, organic beef cuts, all of which are Land to Market verified and going into markets domestically and internationally.
