Alpes Manifattura Filati S.p.A. was founded in 1962, opening the first combed spinning mill in the outskirts of Bassano del Grappa, hystorical and elegant city in the heart of the Veneto region and very close to Venice. This area, well known as a traditional highly enterpreneurial textile business district, has shown the birth, development and worldwide success of some of the most excellent companies that symbolize the Made in Italy.

As of today, more than 60 years from establishment, Alpes represents one of the biggest leading European groups in the combed yarn business, thank to an extremely wide production range able to offer solutions to many different applications in the yarn industry (exp. knitwear and hoisery)

The industrial structure of ALPES is based on 3 full-cycle spinning mills plants, each focused on the production of specific product lines: classic yarns, fashion and fancy yarns, technical yarns.

Since 1989, with the acquisition and upgrading of the yarn dyeing company “Tintoria Industriale San Giorgio”, Alpes Group can also rely on an important and primary internal dyeing division, equipped with top class and modern dying machines.
